Plebians were in the Tribune. The senate was the branch of government that was the most powerful. Only Patricians were in the senate. Here’s Jacob with the government. Taco- Monarchy, not a butterfly. Don’t even ask, “Why, why?” Rome changed from one of those, to a republic and wore those funny clothes. Morgan- A Monarchy is a government that is ruled by a king or queen. Around 500 B.C., the Romans changed from a Monarchy to a Republic. There is the birthplace of a new government known as a republic. Taco-Republic is the Gov. to have. Once you get used to it, it ain’t so bad. You have the Senate, you have the tribune, you have the consul, and McDonald’s is coming soon. (Keira saying not really) You have the right vote, and then you put it in a tote. Then you start to stutter, after this song comes anutter. Keira-Republic gave the citizens the right to vote. It gave them a chance to have a meaning in Rome. That was one of the reasons the republic was so powerful. Here’s MORGAN! Morgan- In the forum, were the twelve tables. This is the truth, this ain’t no fable. It was the laws that the Romans followed. They even let these rules be borrowed. Keira- The twelve tables were the set of rules that Rome followed. It was kind of like the Declaration of Independence to us. Once again, here’s Jacob. Jacob- Punic wars, Punic wars, ahh Punic wars, Punic wars, ahh. That was the war, was the war between… Keira- Scipio and Hannibal, who was an animal when it came to wars. When he came through, with elephants too, it looked like he was on tour. Jacob- Carthage was place that Hannibal and Scipio faced, each other, they fought one another, as you could tell, everything went well, for Rome, now I guess it’s time to take it home. Jared- Hannibal and Scipio fought a fierce battle. But, in the end the Romans won all three wars.
